The premise is simple. Strictly vinyl, strictly rhythm, strictly business. The night was born out of frustrations at having nowhere to play Disco, house and boogie tunes on vinyl to people who are mutually obsessed by black music. But while it
’s an attempt (and a successful one too) to revive the classic traditions of NYC disco, house and London boogie, this ain’t no retro night, classics and modern sounds will be getting a spin too.
This time around we have disco royalty J’Nett, Jimmy James (UK) and Andee Frost on the decks.
J'nett creates musical soundscapes constantly reinventing herself; and revolutionizing the musical landscape in the process.
London Born JimmyJames whose musical knowledge is second to none he has the ammunition to deliver the goods on all spectrums of music.
and Andee Frost Melbourne Don of disco and dancefloor mayhem has developed into one of Australia's finest dj's and whose influence on club culture is highlighted by his weekly event The House de Frost .
With their respective (and respected) backgrounds in all things dance music, this holy trinity of local heat will be spinning a mix of soul, disco, boogie, hustle, house, no wave, dancefloor jazz, latin, funk, electro and afrobeat.
