Fact 2013 Opening: 1605 Tour with Umek, Uto Karem, Filterheadz

  • Following a hugely successful 2012, global party starters FACT open their 2013 London season on Saturday 26th January. They launch with a bang as very special guest, Umek, brings his 1605 tour back to Kings X... Their first outing was a storming success and this time around they have several super guest appearances... Italian star Uto Karem (Agile / Plus8) brings his trademark seductive rhythms and Belgian dynamic duo & hit makers, Filterheadz, make a rare London appearance. UMEK: It would take a long essay to fully explain UMEK’s meaning to electronic music. The Slovenian born producer and DJ has been setting trends and rocking dance floors for two decades now and still shows no signs of slowing down. He’s tireless in his techno and tech house production and with more than 100 gigs per year, probably one of the busiest techno DJs out there. He’s not only been rocking our ears with his own productions for labels like Toolroom, Spinnin, Great Stuff, Intec and many more, but has also been heavily involved in choosing who to sign to his arty imprint 1605, which mostly supports young and talented artists who haven’t yet made it on the global party scene. Having conquered most of world’s biggest stages and festivals, UMEK started his own weekly radio show “Behind the Iron Curtain,” which immediately landed on dozens of the world’s hippest EDM radio stations. Although he probably holds a national record for the number of flights per year, UMEK still finds time for charity. Every August he hosts a charity event called “Party with a Cause,” where local sponsors help raise money for a certain cause, mostly to help underprivileged youth. UTO KAREM: Uto Karem in just a short period of time has produced hit after hit with forward thinking dance tracks that have fast become staples for DJs everywhere. As well as being an in-demand remixer, DJ and producer, Uto also runs his own Agile Recordings imprint on which he explores deep techno rhythms and highly addictive baselines, taking things to another level. With his unique trademark sound, Uto Karem has been busy producing groove induced, high-energy tracks for legendary labels, with the ability to infuse cutting edge machine music and soulful grooves. FILTERHEADZ: Best known for their smash techno hits Sunshine & Yimanya as well as their highly energetic DJ performances, Filterheadz have been rocking the globe for quite some time. Together with Belgian DJ Tomaz they embarked on a Techno Journey that would eventually lead them to Carl Cox’ Intec where they released their all time classic “Sunshine”. Two years later they would take their signature sound even further and release “Yimanya”, another big hit. Touring the worlds biggest stages their highly charged sets always bring the house down. Their remix engine keeps running full steam: Green Velvet ‘La La Land’, Eddie Amador ‘House Music’, Delirium ‘Silence’, Faithless ‘I want more’ and Eric Prydz ‘Call on me’ just to name a few. The duo have move back into the technosphere with imminent releases on MB Elektronics, Intec, 1605, Respekt & Toolroom - we look forward to welcoming them to FACT!
