We, for a long time, have wanted to throw a special party on boxing day, a time when everyone seems to go out, but with nowhere to go, or at least, no where good to go, until now. Gone are the days of spending copious amounts of money on badly concocted cocktails, in over pretentious bars, surrounded by everybody's favourite yuppie, listening to everybody's least favourite Christmas banger. Gone are the days of sitting round the fire with the family, eating bellinis and salmon or pigs in blankets, slurpin' on sherry and playing trivial pursuit till your eyes start to bleed. Christmas is a time for getting fuck up with friends, well boxing day is anyway, so here's your excuse.
Previously, throwing a party on boxing day in Manchester wasn't possible, what with one arm in London, one in Ireland, and one in Leeds, the logistics just weren't there. However, to make up for all the missed opportunities, we've decided to go all out with our first (of hopefully many) Boxing Day marathons.
We've chosen two of Leeds' finest, playing special extended sets, along with Hypercolour man of the moment, doing a live set, to be our headliners for the night. Supported of course, by a plethora of Yorkshire talent and our residents, to take us through from 11 to 8 am. Stamina crew, at the ready.
