One of the hottest evenst of last summer, Rebel Rave returns to Melbourne this February for an awe-inspiring line-up of their own label’s talented producers and DJs – including Subb-An Live, Shaun Reeves, Francesca Lombardo, Brohn and label founder Damian Lazarus.
Damian Lazarus
Since the moment he spun his first record, Damian Lazarus's mission has been a clear and urgent one: to blow away the mediocre, the over-inflated, the obsolete; to seek out and celebrate the energetic, the important, the new. Always rebelling, always going places. Damian will be playing the final set leading into the galactic alignment, and rest assured he will deliver something extraordinary for this monumentous occasion.
Subb-An
Subb-an is one of the most exiting new British live acts of recent years and this is a testament to his hard work, natural talent and wholehearted commitment to electronic music. Named as DJ Magazines 'Best Breakthrough DJ' in their 2011 end of year awards, Subb-an's prodigious studio talents have seen him release on Crosstown Rebels, Spectral, Saved and My Favourite Robot and deliver much lauded remixes of Jamie Woon, Lana Del Ray, Noir & Haze and Hollis P Monroe and recently remixing the 100th single for Crosstown by Tiga.
Shaun Reeves
Shaun Reeves is an enigmatic pioneer who’s trailblazing quest to export his unique brand of cosmic underground house and techno from his hometown of Detroit to Europe and beyond has brought him international acclaim. Alongside best friends Ryan Crosson, Lee Curtiss and Seth Troxler he has helped put a warm, esoteric spin on the city’s musical heritage taking it away from clinical minimalism, back towards warmer, more spiritual party music. Francesca Lombardo
After years exploring different strains of music and picking up her own formal training, Francesca Lombardo realized she was most at home on the dancefloor. The London based DJ, Vocal Techniques graduate and accomplished pianist is now working under her given name, Francesca Lombardo. So far she has spun alongside titans like Sven Vath, Agoria and Tobi Neumann at places like Klubbers Festival, Madrid, Danzoo for Space of Sound, and Circoloco at DC10 always joining the dots between house and techno.
