The one and only pinnacle of Chicago’s 90’s House Music scene, Derrick Carter returns to Goldfish Kings Cross.
This Australia Day, experience the one and only Carter as he takes it back to where it first began as Derrick does Disco!!
Derrick’s sets are rooted in housed, but he freely travels outside club tastes, seamlessly incorporating old school, disco, soul, jazz & whatever catches his fancy. His debut track “Love Me Right” appeared in 1987, just after he graduated from college with several other releases under his belt including “Symbols & Instruments”. His collaborations and mixes have appeared on a plethora of mix albums including Cosmic Disco on Mix Mag & Pagan Offering on Pagan. Carter has also founded two label, remixed for industry heavy weights Cajmere & Felix da Housecat, to name a few. His accomplishment’s, collaborations & tours are world class!!
We welcome Carter back down under to coincide with the Defected Record’s release of Derrick Carter “House Masters”. Supported by local residents; Illya, Matt Cahill, Johnny Gleeson & More to be announced. This is a night not to be missed!!
