  • William 'Cut Hands' Bennett | a founding member of the group Whitehouse and one of extreme electronic music's original pioneers | plays an exclusive London date to commemorate the release of new long-player, 'Madwoman', on Karl 'Regis' O'Connor's Downwards imprint. Commencing the Cut Hands project in 2007 to experiment further with his obscure collection of Ghanaian percussion instruments in free-form work-outs alongside other types of (genuine) sound experimenting, Bennett's eight years of hard graft finally culminated in 2011’s critically acclaimed and best-selling release Afro Noise I – the new Black Mamba album followed on from the eponymous 12” single released by Blackest Ever Black last summer. The date of the new release is, as yet, unconfirmed, but this will be your first opportunity to hear the new material in a live setting. Joining Cut Hands on the night will be the newly minted Blackest Ever Black artist, Dalhous. Renamed from Young Hunting with a 'new clarity and conviction', their most recent output for the label reminds (Boomkat) of 'the late '90s electronica heard on Autechre/Skam's legendary Disengage shows, and the sombre lurch of their label-mates, Raime. Blackest Ever Black will be soundtracking your visits to the bar. Doors open at 8pm. If there are any tickets remaining for the door on the night, announcements will be made in the week of the show.
