The Glass is Never Half Empty... Its Half Full
Half Full started on the basis where we wanted to create a platform where any music lover could come along and have a intimate connection with the music we love, and let it fully submerge itself into our lives.
Hundreds of hours of parties, and thousands of guests later, we now turn Two at South Nightclub, where we will be creating Two Rooms of Music Wonder.
We first launched ourselves back in 2011 with Berlin Based DJ, Mark Henning and we thought it would be fitting to have him return for our Second birthday! His cutting edge innovative sounds sits somewhere between house and techno, with a healthy dose of darkness, swing and funk, all the ingredients the crowd needs to throw some shapes on the dance floor.
Our Second berlin based guest is an artist that has heavily influenced the sound we try and create at Half Full. Recently coming out of retirement, this will be his first gig back in Manchester, we welcome Chris Lattner, whose undeniable talent for infectious house grooves makes him one of our DJ's DJ. Crisp Sounds, Deep ominous melodies, this is an artist we cannot describe how ecstatic we are to have him at our second birthday.
Moodtrap are Tsuba new anonymous exclusive artists. This Duo already well established on the House circuit are hidden behind masks as they embody there alter ego... Moodtrap. Unwilling to compromise there music, this alter ego allows them total freedom of expression. Releasing there Debut EP 'Body to Body', there 'no trade off' style was met with huge success. DJing in Masks, they will be playing a 'Tsuba Materials Only' Set for there Manchester Debut. As the Duo say "The Best way to find out more about yourself is to be someone else for a while."
To complete the line up we welcome Luna Records Head Honcho, Paul Bowen. and Label Manager Mark Graham. Luna Records established in 2009, saw its first release from Chris Lattner, following subsequent releases from artists such as DJ W!LD, Matthias Tanzmann, Kevin Griffiths. Luna's stripped back deep/dubby/ base heavy sound has been making a huge impression in the house community with its none stop grooves. Paul and Mark will be joined by Chris Lattner to form a Luna Records Showcase in the courtyard.
