- After a big 1st birthday bash back in October 2012 with Butch, Flashmob & Hector Couto, Talk Is Cheap are very excited to head back to Lightbox and welcoming another stellar array of artists to provide the soundtrack at Lightbox, one of London's coolest underground clubs, boasting an impressive bespoke Void sound system as well as more than 15,000 LEDs covering the walls of the intimate feeling main room. For those of you that made it down to the birthday party you'll know exactly the reason why we've decided to return and for those that didn't will have to join us for more fun under those lights! Tapesh, Dale Howard & a Sidney Charles will line up alongside residents and friends to party down in Vauxhall, with a beefy VOID Soundsystem, plenty of party antics and a dancefloor full of like minded party goers. ___________________________________________________________________________ Tapesh [Noir Music / Get Physical] ___________________________________________________________________________ May it be Ibiza, London or Dubai: there are few Djs with a more international touch than “finally famous” Tapesh, and even fewer whose style you could identify as really unique. At a time when most people couldn’t spell the word DJing, young teenage Tapesh dived into the growing US and UK Breakdance, Funk & Acid House scene and uncovered an enormous musical talent that soon got acknowledged by real stars like Loco Dice, Richie Hawtin or Marco Carola. His multi-cultural roots, as well as his experience and feeling for mixing the popular with the uncommon give Tapesh’ sets that flamboyant magic-potion touch you will only find one in a million. This special “Tapesh-feeling” is also recognisable in his own productions, which are released by top labels like Snatch!, Rebirth, Monique Musique, Defected or Noirmusic and by now get regularly played in Pete Tong’s world famous BBC radio show. But that’s not all: For those who live on the rest of the planet, Tapesh already started a huge world tour, which means even more locations, more fans, and certainly - more fame. ___________________________________________________________________________ Dale Howard [Noir Music / Lost My Dog / Fear Of Flying] ___________________________________________________________________________ Dale Howard is a name that has become synonymous with top quality House music. After initial success with a number 2 and 3 in Beatport’s Deep House chart, as well as many top 50′s, Dale took time off to refine his sound. Now he is back in full force with an instantly recognisable style and has released music on some of the world’s most respected House labels like Morris Audio, OFF and Noir to name a few. 2012 brought much success and high acclaim for Dale, with his productions gaining huge support from artists like DJ Sneak, Luciano, Reboot, Dyed Soundorom, Steve Lawler, Dubfire, Magda, M.A.N.D.Y, Homework, Huxley, Jordan Peak, Robert Owens, Michelle Owen and loads more, as well as even more releases scheduled with world renowned record labels. 2012 has so far set the mark for Dale at a very high level and no doubt the next 12 months will bring even more success. ___________________________________________________________________________ Sidney Charles [Avotre / Kling Klong] ___________________________________________________________________________ The younger the artist, the shorter his Biography! But Sidney Charles in his age of twenty-something already looks into many happy faces, when he enters the decks. Everybody, who understands this love-binding kind of music, has to live the urban movement behind it, the culture that brings people of all kinds together. Exactly these motions are fascinating the young man, born as Sidney Charles Hurricane Vieljans in Hamburg, Germany. With the age of 15 Sidney Charles discovered the magic of the two black discs spinning on the 1210s. At the beginning Hip Hop, Soul, Funk, Breakbeat and Turntablism was Sidney´s medium to express his emotions. Highly delighted and inspirited by the time of late 80s and early 90s, when the movement, accompanied by young culture, began, Sidney Charles was finding the higher BPM-numbers of House & Techno were leading to more inspiration and happiness. He is not a musician, nor a percussionist. He is a collector. A collector of culture and experiences. The energy and feeling around the music is what makes the difference and letting Sidney Charles not be one of manys.
