Kumasi Music Easter Special with Special Guest, No Artificial Colours, Dirty Channels, Kreature

  • Kumasi Music return to London for the Easter Bank Holiday. They come armed with the biggest line-up of their short partying career, a plethora of guests to accompany the Kumasi faithful, as well as new signings to show off. It really has been a rollercoaster ride for all at Kumasi HQ, where four parties in four months across the country have been coupled with the progress of the Kumasi roster, and realising the dream of becoming an independent record label. The Kumasi Music Easter Sunday Party will provide a coming together to celebrate what has been a great year, whilst also being a look forward to the approaching summer. A special guest artist will be headlining this extra special bank holiday show. Joining the guest artist is South-East London duo NO ARTIFICIAL COLOURS, whose hypnotic and colourful brand of house has resulted in a string of excellent releases for Sleazy deep, Nasty Funk, Nurvous and Max Chapman's Resonance Records. Both make their Kumasi debuts, and so do Italian hotshots DIRTY CHANNELS. Milanese duo Simone and Leme aka Dirty Channels, have recently joined the ranks armed with releases on Ovum, Culprit and the seemingly unstoppable Hot Creations. Their warm native climes have coloured their music, where glittering arpeggios and woozy, soulful synths accompany an extremely accomplished style of drum programming. JONNY CADE is having a very eventful turn of the year, having confirmed recently that EP’s are forthcoming on house behemoths 2020Vision and Moodmusic. The Flux resident continues to see the rewards for a lot of hard work, and a unique sound that manages to be both colourful and rough. MATT FEAR travels south for a return Kumasi London appearance, carrying the same hefty basslines that he is renowned for, whilst turning an ear towards a more classic house sound of late. The same goes for fellow Yorkshire native and some-time production partner KREATURE, who is creating quite a name for himself as a partystarter. Kumasi’s newest signing, SION, is set to lose his Kumasi virginity off the back of a release for Chase and Status’ MTA Records. One to keep both eyes firmly on, the 20 year-old prodigy promises much in the coming months. NOLAN, fresh off an awesomely received EP for Audiojack’s esteemed Gruuv Recordings, also rubbers up for his Kumasi intiation. Finally, MIKE GILL rounds off the bill following an excellent year which has included releases on Wolf + Lamb, Hot Waves and House of Disco.
