Copyright, a duo featuring Sam Holt and Gavin ‘Face’ Mills, have quite a history together. Today, their impressive achievements as DJs and producers see them following an itinerary to the DJ booths of some of the world’s best clubs as one of Defected’s key artists.
Their joint record bag harbours disco, soul and techno classics alongside the more expected soulful house, and Copyright are no strangers to the big room house sound. With regular gigs at Ibiza spearheading Defected’s own night at Pacha, Copyright’s DJ performances are as in-demand as their studio time.
Their reputation as producers is every bit as impressive as their DJ talents. The duo have made a huge impact with some of their original productions, including the European/Ibiza summer anthem ‘Bulo’ and more recently ‘Wizeman’, ‘He Is’ and ‘We Can Rise’.
Copyright have remixes and re-edits of some of the planet’s most popular house tracks having made a massive impact on the global club scene with remixes/re-edits of ‘Most Precious Love’, ‘Strings Of Life’, ‘The Light’, ‘Back Together’, ‘I Can’t Get No Sleep’ and most recently ‘Put Your Drink Down’.
The duo is currently putting finishing touches on an artist album for Defected, and along with Alumbra’s DJ Jorj, they have mixed one of the discs of Alumbra’s debut CD release. The CD out through Defected and titled Alumbra In The House will have a full Australasian release in April.
