Onemore with Rodhad and Mr.G

  • OneMore is a monthly event showcasing the best of house and techno's underground superstars but also new talents with the amazing support from our residents Arnaud Le Texier, Antonio De Angelis and Outart. Last party in London we had the pleasure of having Carl Craig which was amazing... Next OneMore will actually be taking place in Moscow on the 7th of April, in a brand new club called Monasterio with the most powerful Void Incubus sound system in the world, where all our resident will accompany Rod and Mark Broom! Back in London, we will showcase one of Berlin's freshest new talent which we are happy to bring for his first London's appearance, Rodhad, together with another powerful head-liner with his incredible live and dancing performance, Mr.G Here's a little more info about our guests: Rødhåd is the quintessential Berlin DJ. With all the ex-pats that have taken up residence in the capital to chase the techno dream, it's sometimes easy to forget these Berlin originals still exist. Rødhåd currently stands as one of Berlin's most promising new talents, propelled by the Dystopian parties and label he helms with two friends (who preferred to remain nameless). The former has been taking place for around four years, with the trio inviting local and international guests to spin at various locations—but mostly Arena Club—every few months. The label, meanwhile, is a more recent development, having started in the second half of 2012. Its two 12-inches so far have both come from Rødhåd, with each of the tracks exhibiting the kind of hypnotic techno his DJ sets have become known for. He's become one of the best closing DJs in the business, schooled at Berghain where he's become a regular Sunday (often unannounced) fixture, playing last on the main floor with marathon performances. Dystopian events can count Sandwell District, James Ruskin and Ben Klock as past guests, with each party capped off by a set from the Dystopian resident. it seems that DJs like Rødhåd can only be schooled in Berlin. No other city offers young jocks a chance to spin for six hours or more, in front of an enthusiastic crowd, on a regular basis. Luckily the place that has been so influential on his career happens to be one of the world's best nightclubs. "Playing in Berghain for eight or ten hours is crazy," he says with a laugh. "If you play for that long, you can lose sense of everything around you." His first London show will take place at OneMore. As most of you know, techno is a constantly moving art and it's important to keep up-to-date with new waves... Rødhåd is a prime example for the reasons mentioned above and in London, OneMore is the perfect place to showcase this fresh talent! G LIVE: Previously one half of 'The Advent', Colin Mcbean (Mr G) left the duo to pursue his own path. After some time out of the limelight Colin reappeared back on the scene with 2010's monster Album 'STILL HERE' on the mighty REKIDS imprint, hailed by the press as one of the hottest albums of that year. Many remixes later and additional releases on BASS CULTURE, HUDDTRAX, AFRICASAFARI, MOODS AND GROOVES DETROIT and his own label, PHOENIX G, Mr G also dropped his follow up album, again with Rekids called "STATE OF FLUX". At OneMore, expect another LIVE journey into MR G's unique sound, yet another monster act from the Label behind Nina Kraviz and Radio Slave. check this: https://soundcloud.com/rekids/sets/mr-g-state-of-flux
