- There seems to be an uncontrollable urge in all of us to place all incoming information into neat little boxes in a hollow attempt to make sense of it all. From splitting music into meaningless genre classifications and sub-classifications to splitting ourselves into closed off social circles dictated by our ideas, faith, tastes and aesthetics. The more we divide and sub-divide, the further we drift from each other. If segregation and loss of individualization is the cost of trying to make sense of ourselves, then why make sense at all? Why Make Sense? is a boutique event featuring artists that do not fit into compartments, filled with people that just want to live without the constraints of labels.
