After the overwhelming response of our sell out SBTRKT show back in November, we felt it was only right to invite him back again to our ones and twos this Spring for yet another huge show. This time he’s accompanied by some of the UKs finest up and coming talent from the house music realm, and we quite simply cannot wait.
Bondax’s evocative music seems to drift between urban sonic landscapes, avoiding classification. Incorporating elements of post-dubstep, R&B, and garage, the Lancaster based duo craft an intimate, electronic bliss that reveals something new with each repeated play. UK based Shadow Child made his debut via the mighty Dirtybird early in 2012, mostly thanks to the EP's lead track "String Thing" dominating Eats Everything and Claude VonStroke's DJ sets. This new alias for one of House music's already known names has turned down an exciting path with underground bass-led grooves filled with all the quirks and depth you'd expect in the cooler rooms around the globe.
As his name would suggest, Last Magpie picks up, gathers and masterfully combines musical gems from across the board to create and influence his finely tuned house and 2step hybrids. He aims to keep his style quite open and unspecific to any one genre under his Magpie moniker drawing from elements of house, techno, dub and garage (UK & US) with a hint of old school jungle.
Despite being in his teens Happa's productions are kinetic, mature and distinctly original. His work combines brutalist techno aesthetics with the sonics of UK Bass Music. With latest release for fledgling label Church melds dark brooding subs with lurching drums and vocal cuts; exciting the groove with each hit.
TCTS is Sam O'Neill, a young producer and DJ from Manchester. After catching the eye of promoter / Dj Seb Wildblood, Sam cut his teeth at London club night Church, and has played with heavy-hitters such as Bondax, Disclosure, Boddika, Dark Sky, Damu, Juk Juk, Ifan Dafydd and Jacques Greene to name but a few. His first EP, 'Hands', came courtesy of the Cool Kid Music label which landed in at number three in the Juno bass music charts.
