So after a lengthy absence, we are returning to the riverside.
Mojo & PAUSE™ are proud to announce the second instalment of our outdoor party 'PAUSE™ by the river' back by very high demand, and after last years successful Moon Harbour showcase, we are back with some truly amazing talent, who will undoubtably be bringing you the most cutting edge electronic music the world has to offer.
Headlining our event is arguably the biggest artist we have had grace the historic grounds of Mojo... Davide Squillace.
Having honed his craft at home, in 2004 Davide left Naples for Barcelona unwavering in his resolve. Now, while touring around the continent, he began to release in earnest what would become a massive body of work, and at a dizzying pace. His productions have graced the catalogs of some of the finest labels including Ovum, Sci+Tec, Desolat, Resopal Schallware, Supernature, Moon Harbour, Viva, Nervous, Saved, the list goes on…
In addition to his genre-defining works, Davide continues to inspire and ignite dancefloors worldwide. Whether it be at Circoloco, where he has been a resident since 2007, Womb, Berghain, D.Edge, or any other marquee venue, Davide plays with an unequalled funk and excitement. His signature sets, revered by the masses and peers alike, do a double duty in guarding our much-loved traditions while constantly pushing them forward.
The realm of possibilities for one of electronic music’s leading lights is endless. Unfortunately, the minutes in the day are not. Davide’s answer is simple – do what you love and make no compromises.
Joining him we have another artist who has been impressing us for many years Julien Chaptal, who a multi-talented, Amsterdam-based Parisian performing both as a live act and DJ. First breaking through in 2007/8 on a young Amsterdam based label called Remote Area and subsequently with releases on labels such as Intacto, 2020 Vision and most recently on Saved, Julien has remained at the forefront of the many talents which have emerged from the vibrant Dutch scene.
2013, however, has the look of a vintage year. Julien’s ‘Illin’ EP debuted on Saved at the beginning of February, which kicks off a stellar run of releases through until summer. ‘Tout Près De Toi’ follows on Supernature, ‘The Look On Your Face’ EP is scheduled for release on Defected in April, along with a pair of remixes for Luke Solomon on Classic. A collaboration with Lauhaus on Supplement Facts ‘Jujuman’ - with remix from Franck Roger and a scheduled EP on Classic rounds out a prolific run of form.
Completing the outdoor line up we have Pause residents Mark Derry & Neil Wyborn, Bedlam's Alex Kilby, Decoded's Ben Silver & Robin Henderson, & a dj who has impressed lately Jonny Bryant.
