Bill Kouligas is the man behind the awesome PAN label, responsible for releasing some astounding music in the past couple of years. Showcasing avant-garde electronics, drone and more dance oriented sounds in its diverse discography, PAN's releases put the often disparate worlds of underground dance music and the avant garde in to conversation.
Bill grew up in Athens on a steady diet of hardcore, post punk and new wave, eventually embedding himself in the European noise scene. Which in the case of many, would make him completely opposed to any kind of dance music. Luckily for us he turned to DJing. And as is to be expected, his sets reflect his diverse musical background. So don't be surprised if you hear a Levon Vincent tune alongside an experimental piece by Eli Keszler.
Not only has he played at some of the most infamous clubs like Berghain or Horst Krzbrg in Berlin but he's also graced the decks at venues or festivals like Cafe OTO and Unsound, many of which usually showcase purely experimental performances. Showcasing different types of music together, as Forbidden Planet regulars will know, is at the heart of what we do so we are all super excited to have Bill Kouligas here to join us for our monthly party.
We are doing this in our new home/venue which will be revealed on the day of the event. Expect better sound, more space and chill vibes. Sonically, be prepared for mind bending music and jacking tracks to keep you going late in to the night!
