- Having smashed it at the Fresh Meet launch party on Easter Sunday, 31st Mar, the Highflesh duo is excited to start their new residency at Cafe 1001 taking over the back room on Sat, 27 Apr. For this very special occasion the pair is proud to present you their special guest of the night SOUND GYPSY. Expect a 3h set by Highflesh, followed by their special guest. This is a FREE ENTRY party. SOUND GYPSY (Stranjjur/Neim/Sleazy Deep/Dobara) A DJ/Producer based just out of London, Harsh Puri (aka Sound Gypsy) is currently focusing on developing his own take on house music. Being a DJ for12 years now and having previously released EP’s and singles on various labels for the past 6 years, this experience has helped him grow as a musician and develop a more mature and eclectic sound. Influences range anywhere from disco, funk, dub, Bollywood to deep cinematic soundscapes and dialogues and everything in between. Having releases out now on Stranjjur, Neim, Sleazy Deep and his own imprint Dobara, Harsh is on a mission to innovate and push forward thinking house music. Some tracks tell a story…while others, it’s all about the groove and melody. 2012 saw 2 of his tracks, namely “Turned My World Around” and “Way I Feel” appear in the top 100 Nu Disco Charts on Beatport while “Look What Ur Doin To Me” is still refusing to leave the Deep End Charts on Stompy! Providing partygoers with high quality music consistently throughout the night is the couple’s main focus, and with this in mind, the core essence of HighFlesh is to play only the best in electronic music at each event without haltering. Highly ambitious Lu & Spielkamerad aim to highlight the element of "quality" within HighFlesh by prioritizing carefully selected tracks whilst offering a diverse range of musical variety. From deep, slow, funky and melodic house tunes to up-lifting disco and intense tech-house & electro tracks, this pair aims to present a wide spectrum of electronic music with a desire to enlighten audiences with new or lesser known artists and tracks whilst providing a carefully tailored progression to each of their sets.
