WE ARE ROCKSTARS (W.A.R!): The electronic fuelled, DJ led night that sees an incredible mix of the most influential and exciting names in electronic music take over the famous outdoor ‘Rocks’ stage every Friday.
We're excited to announce that joining us for a massive headline set at W.A.R! this summer will be a man widely praised for bridging the gap between the mainstream and specialist worlds of electronic music BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra’s Mistajam. With his 1Xtra show hailed as ‘the key to the underground’ we have no doubts he will be bringing only the freshest sounds in UK Bass and House music to the open-air, poolside stage at the Rocks Hotel this summer.
Joining Mistajam on the Rocks stage will be the UK’s very own Ms Dynamite, bringing with her fresh material as well as all the huge hits that made her one of the most influential, successful and award winning British solo artists of the last decade. Her Mercury Music Prize was followed by BRIT and MOBO awards and Ms Dynamite was held up as an ambassador for a British riposte to US R&B. Now collaborating with younger stars like Labrinth and Katy B and with an album lined up for next year, Ms Dynamite is back by popular demand following her electric live sets at W.A.R! last year.
If Mistajam and Ms Dynamite wasn't enough we're also throwing into the mix a Rocks debut performance from Shadow Child. A new alias for one of House music's already known names Shadow Child is on an exciting path, paved with underground bass-led grooves and all the quirks and depth to fill the floor at W.A.R! this summer.
Finally (to complete this stellar W.A.R! line up) is a man that needs no introduction to the Rocks crowd. After a winter playing the biggest electronic festivals across the world, hosting on Rinse FM and releasing music on Diplo's Mad Decent label we can confirm that long-time Rocks resident, and now global superstar DJ, Doorly is back in Ibiza this summer and ready for W.A.R!
