Sound In Motion: Independent Festival of Electronic Music and Art presented by StudioFeed. Held in unique indoor and outdoor locations downtown Toronto, Canada (July 11-13, 2013).

Our festival creates a platform that explores sound in motion through a diverse range of electronic music performances in unique indoor and outdoor locations, interactive a/v and tactile bass showcases, dancing days and nights, knowledge exchange, collaboration and conversation.
Sound In Motion is powered by our Local Music Ecosystem: Artists, Labels, Promoters, Fans, Independent Shops, Technologists and others who support the Music.
Sound In Motion an extension of StudioFeed - a social venture whose mission is to Support Independent Music through community engagement, technology development and a broad campaign to build the Toronto Center for Independent Music.

Attend a screening of selections from Resident Advisor’s Real Scenes, as well as short films exploring the transformative power of music. Screenings are followed by a special live audio-visual performance of Emoralis from Toronto experimental turntablist/ electronic artist, SlowPitch. Throughout film and live presentations, bass frequencies will travel through the viewer’s body silently via SubPac to offer a truly immersive experience for the auditory, visual and tactile senses. SubPac is new tactile audio technology developed by StudioFeed in Toronto.

New to Sound In Motion this year, our FREE outdoor mainstage event takes place at Downtown Toronto’s Coronation Park. Proceeds from this event will go to StudioFeed’s campaign to build a space for independent music in Toronto: www.supportindependentmusic.org. Tall trees, wide open space, skyscrapers and beats come together next to the beautiful shores of Lake Ontario.
