The Big Noise Festival is a 14 hour one-day festival showcasing the best of emerging music, DJ's, Funk & Soul, Indie, Grunge, Afro Beats, Acoustic, Spoken Word, Comedy, Theatre, Circus Acts, Short Films and Local Artists. All proceeds from the festival will be donated to The Big Issue Foundation.
This summer; the first ever edition of The Big Noise festival is set to take place at the Bussey Building/CLF Arts Cafe in South London.
This fantastic new arts and music festival will showcase, promote and celebrate diverse and exciting artists: high profile acts will perform alongside local and emerging artists, transforming the venue into a hive of entertainment, creativity and festival atmosphere and highlight the fact that homelessness can impact anyone.
The festival is raising funds for The Big Issue Foundation and will explore the issue of homelessness, which is increasingly rife in today’s society.
The Big Noise festival will take place at The Bussey Building/CLF Arts Cafè, Peckham on Saturday 8th of June 2013.
This 14 hour one-day event will feature a wide variety of art forms including live music, DJs, theatre groups, spoken word artists, comedy, live art, installations, dance and circus acts.
Our artists include live music and DJ performances from over 30 acts including Gabby Young & Other Animals, Reeps One, Nãnci and Phoebe and Gentle Mystics.
There will be live theatre and spoken word performances from Ice and Fire, Rob Auton and Deanna Rodger as well as short films from BFI, Cardboard Citizens, Streetwise Opera and the Peckham Free Film Festival.
The project is also partnered with organisations including Camberwell Arts festival, Peckham and Nunhead Free Film Festival and Cardboard Citizens and Southwark Arts Forum.
The project was devised and set up by volunteers; all participants are volunteering their time, skills and energy to the event and the festival is entirely in aid of The Big Issue Foundation.
