With the memories of the first incredibly successful showcase still fresh, Inside Out Records is ready to do it again. The 9th of June 2013 sees London based label Inside Out Records heading to the famous east London venue Cafe 1001 for their second showcase. It will be a ten and a half hour celebration where the artists of the label will make sure that this will be a party to remember. As a label we are really proud of the lineup. We feel it is a true blessing for us to have so talented people on board that share our dream. Expect to hear minimal electronic music from deep house to techno.
AKI BERGEN
Since the young age of 14 the passion and ardor for the techno movement in Europe, encourage him to explore the variety of the expression of tendency that was revolutioning the world music Club scene. Like each young talented dj, Neuroxyde is searching the road for the access in his City Clubs and with the passing by of the time he becomes well-known to the public. His attraction for the electronic grooves, brings him to meet Andrea Prezioso, his “precious” mentor for a few years, and releasing his first production in 1997. From this point on was for Neuroxyde clear on his mind, that this would be his destination, like a Train rail without stops. Till 2002, year which inaugurates his first professional studio, he switches music productions and gigs on the whole Italian territory. With his actual collaborators (Valentina Dante, David Jones and Aqua Diva) administrates different well know Italian labels of the last few years, moving from different styles and genres taking him to the top of the Top sales charts in Europe. In 2007 he wins the silver disk in France with over 100.000 sold singles and more than 400.000 copies all over the globe. From the old continent to the whole Globe a short step: Starlight Music is born and in a short break of time it becomes one of the most researched and respected labels, boasting of collaborations with artists of worldwide fame like Shara Nelson of Massive Attack, Dubfire, D.O.N.S. to mention a few.
The next step is take of granted: create a label made to fit with his passion and musical requirements. Neurotraxx is born, a forge that materialize tracks that are played by the most influenced top dj’s of the world. His devotion of the world of Club is still today alive, and his competence and professionalism are unquestionably appreciated. With the name of Aki Bergen he found his leading way also in the world of deep house, producing some of the most played records of the last years. We can find his name in the first position of the Deep House Beatport chart many times, and in the 1st position of Beatport General chart with the smashing hit “Jazzy Stuff”. His sudden fame provided him big collaborations with artists such as Dannii Minogue, Ralphi Rosario, Oscar G, Milton Jackson, Goldfish, and his remixes are between the most requested and loved.
His remix of Doomwork “Lost In Memory” has been nominated 2nd Best Deep House track at Beatport Music Awards 2010.
TED ALEXANDER
Born in the UK, Ted spent most of his formative years abroad, first in New York where he became a fanatic of the rock scene and then as a student in Canada, where he began his love affair with contemporary electronic music. Deciding to return to London to focus his energies on production, Ted is finally, after several years hard graft, starting to taste the fruits of his labours, with releases out on Life and Death, Moodmusic, Stem Records and InsideOut Records to name a few.
As a producer and performer Ted looks to infuse the deep melodic tones with dynamic excitable percussion. Although he remains relatively unknown to many within the industry 2013 and beyond should be seeing and hearing much more from him.
IAN MCKENZIE
Ian has produced a wealth of house and garage tracks. As the studio half of Tru Faith and Dub Conspiracy he produced the UK Top 10 hit ‘Freak Like Me’ and the UK garage anthems – ‘Dinamite’ and ‘Mr Big’. His remix and production credits include Pink and Shola Ama.
The last 2 years has been a busy period for Ian as he has recorded, mixed and co-produced with artists releasing on labels such as Defected, Kompakt, Life and Death, Get physical, Noir, Southern Fried Records, Eklekisch, Mile End records, Oh Records and Stem to name a few .
THEO KOMP
Theo Komp was born and raised in Greece in a family where music was highly appreciated and he was exposed to a few talented musicians. He soon realised a profound interest for electronic music. Over the years, he experimented with different kinds and aspects of music, song writing, production, recording, sound design, mixing and mastering. He started producing music in 2006 and it was then when he enrolled in Berklee College of Music. In 2010, he moved to London. Since then he has performed in many venues like: Egg, Nomad, 333, Pacha, Ministry Of Sound, Rhythm Factory to mention but a few, he has been releasing his music in labels like Keep Out Recordings, Mind Ability, Deep Records and Solid Tracks Records.
Nowadays Theo is the main man behind Minimal Force Records, a London based label specialized in minimal tech and experimental, as well as a member of the Codekontrol Family.
ALEX ZED
Alessandro Lombardo aka Alex Zed has been a part of electronic music and club culture for over 15 years. Alex benefited from his parents vast eclectic record collection and so started from a very young age. Uniquely accomplished in both influence and scope, he has excelled in every one of his incubations: DJ, label owner and producer.At the age of 18 he started playing at local parties of his hometown. Originally hailing from Sicily, Alex soon found the club scene of London irresistible, and so relocated at the age 25 to try his hand behind the decks of Mass club in Brixton.He has since enjoyed immense success, blowing up dancefloors across the globe (especially in UK) to sold-out-crowds.
Alex is also a prolific and respected producer,having released several EPs in "Authenticbit" such as 8Joyz ,Sweet Vibration and others. Recently, his dream of creating his own music label have come true. Inside Out Records is a new label established in London,UK that meets great success from the beginning.
STEVIE R
Stavros Potamitis was born in 18th September of 1988 and has always had a great interest in music. Introduced to classical music from an early age playing guitar and piano, he moved on to rock sounds during his late childhood and for 6 years now, is pursuing his at most desire as an electronic music producer.
Stavros made his first steps in electronic music by performing as a DJ in many Greek clubs, culminating in his playing in top tier Greek clubs.
His interests in electronic music were not saturated through being a successful DJ and promoter. While in Greece, he also released tracks with established labels like the New York based Plant Music, he made a new start by coming to London, UK to study as a producer in the famous Point Blank music school under successful musicians. While in London, Stavros has been involved in the founding of a new label, Inside Out Records, and has collaborated with important names of the field he admired in remixes and EPs that will soon be released.
Regarding his taste as a producer, Stavros's style is based on deep house sounds and draws elements from various genres. His principal focus in production is professionalism of the result and artistic depth of each track, giving his style distinct characteristics and a unique flavour. Some of his tracks have been played successfully and his music has been selected for a TV series by the large US channel HBO.
