This year as part of the fringe events at Wexford Strawberry Festival, Viva are hosting a whopper party at Wilson’s Bar Enniscorthy, with a line-up that is as good as any seen in the South East for a very long time.
Lee Holman has recorded for some of the highest quality Techno labels such as Ferox, Nightvision, Mowar, Snapshot, Home Recordings and his own Kawl imprint among others. Production credits include remixes for Gary Beck, Mush and more with appearances alongside the legendary Chez Damier and Lerosa. Original material has been remixed by Techno stalwarts like Russ Gabriel, Orlando Voorn, Elliot Dodge, Mattias Fridell, Mike Dehnert and Roman Lindau. His music is regularly supported by leading artists across the world.
Founding the Kawl Imprint, the debut 1st Kawl EP found success featuring in James Ruskin’s Resident Advisor podcast. The standard continued with Ben Sims charting the 2nd Kawl EP at Number 1.
Radio broadcasts include No Territory, RT-Transmissions, Interstate 94 and guest appearances for stations such as National Broadcaster RTE(Ireland), BBC (U.K.), Studio Brussels/Switch (Belgium), DJ Broadcast(Holland), Proton Radio (USA) and a host of others.
His music captures House and Techno in all its forms and has led to playing events throughout Ireland, Europe and the U.S.A. in prestigious underground venues such as Corsica Studios London, 8Bahn Arnhem and Tresor Berlin.
Mael has been hitting some serious techno sound barriers over the last 12 months and is a firm favourite among the Viva crew. He has put out a consistently strong series of track in a short space of time with releases on Labrynth, Until Morning, and more forthcoming in the near future. With his sound varying from melodic to industrial, his tracks also carry a signature intense power that makes you want to break stuff. Please don’t break up Wilson’s on the 28th .
Supporting these will be Nordine Chigara and Michael Clinton. Their job will be to play so bad (won’t be hard) and make the other two boys look good. So after a couple of hours of train-wrecks and donk-style, you will be dribbling at the sound of Lee and Mael, that’s if you haven’t left already.
