Soma Records returns to RockNess.
Spitting flames 30 foot into the air and surrounded by a weighty Funktion 1 sound system, The new Arcadia Armadillo stage is perfectly suited to the Soma Records curated weekend session.
Friday night is an all out techno assault. What better way to kick off the festival than in front of Berghain resident and Figure label owner, Len Faki. Renowned for his no-nonsense techno, Faki is Pressure regular, and for good reason. His recent productions include a remix for Black Asteroid on Speedy J's Electric Deluxe label and a magnificent release on the Ostgut Ton label, Basement Trax Vol. 1.
Our favourite Berlin tag-team, Pan-Pot, will squeeze into the Arcadia booth to unleash their jacking, festival-ready sound. Their recent collab with Soma Records sounders, Slam, 'Alliances 2 - Media' has been cained across the world's dancefloors since release in March this year. Having just played the sold-out Electric Frog party at SWG3 in Glasgow, Pan-Pot will be sure to build the wild atmosphere they are known for.
Glasgow's 'Prince of Techno', Gary Beck, is welcomed back to Rockness after his appearances in 2010 (where his 'Radio 1 Essential Mix' which was recorded) and also 2011. In among running his Bek Audio label and DJing every weekend from Japan to the Americas to Europe, Gary Beck somehow still finds time to keep an incredibly high standard on his productions. Without doubt one of techno's most talented and prolific artists.
Hans Bouffmyhre is another astonishingly busy man. The founder of the Sleaze Records label has taken his brand across Europe's clubbing capitals. Sleaze label nights, podcasts and releases are renowned for their straight-up style of techno - an attribute that has earned him a loyal fan-base.

Saturday sees Joris Voorn headline the Arcadia stage. owner of the Dutch Rejected label, Joris balances his love both house and techno in not only his productions, but also his dj sets. The well-seasoned DJ is no stranger to festival crowds - expect to hear some of his famed chord-driven tech-house to finish theb night.
Soma stalwart Harvey McKay has had a string of monster releases across Cocoon, Saved, Suara and of course Soma Records in recent times. His groove-laden, yet punchy tracks are being played by the the biggest DJs in the game, gaining him well deserved attention.
Clouds, signed to Tiga's Turbo Records, have their debut album coming in mid-June - perfect timing for playing their local festival - Rockness. Expec big things from Clouds in 2013.
Sub Club residents and label owners, Animal Farm start the party on saturday.

Philly legend, Josh Wink, takes to the stage on Sunday evening with his brand of acid-tinged techno. The Ovum boss is a firm favorite at Soma and Pressure, as his numerous appearances over the years prove. After a 4 year production hiatus Josh returned with his a monstrous release on his own imprint. Keep an eye open for Josh's 'Balls' on Sunday night!
Nic Fanciulli, Saved Records has established itself as one of the UK's best Tech-house labels over the last decade. The Grammy Award winning producer has worked with artists as diverse as Underworld, Kylie Minogue, U.N.K.L.E, Loco Dice, Josh Wink and Tracey Thorn in addition to producing a plethora of solo club focused tracks that have achieved both critical and commercial acclaim.
Berlin-based Mark Henning released his debut album, 'Jupiter Jive', on Soma Records in June 2008. Also releasing on the the Zurich label, City Fox, Mark has developed a sound that really stands out from the crowd. As a talented and versatile DJ, we will be in for somethings special on Sunday evening.
Vector Lovers 2013 album, 'iPhonica' was created using only... you guessed it... an iPhone (and the Nanostudio app). The result was a beautifully crafted and thoughtful longplayer. Expect a sonically mid-bending warm-up on Sunday afternoon.
