Electric Owl | 31st of May at Brown Alley
Die Eule, der Mond und der Schmetterling
Far and wide, the dark sky draped,
Slack as a neglected stage curtain.
Three fellows below, clutching their hearts in tow,
Ventured to find what was uncertain.
The Owl whispered to his fluttering companion,
Who rested upon the Moon,
‘I miss the stars that wiggle and wink,
I miss their tintinnabulating tune.
Their tune,
Their tune!
I miss their tintinnabulating tune.
The Butterfly batted her colourful lashes,
And shook the dust from her wings.
It formed a pattern, alike the yellow of Saturn,
And crowned the Moon with a ring.
For one hundred days, they’d tarried a maze,
Since thieving the shining Luna.
But before they could joke, the moon cracked like a yoke,
And their beloved orb was no longer,
No longer,
No longer!
And their beloved orb was no longer.
Electric Owl; as runcible as a spoon.
