Matinée Group unveils upcoming summer season's star features at Amnesia Ibiza
This year the infamous promoter celebrates their 15th anniversary of live and faces the 2013 summer season stronger than ever.
Many are the surprises Matinée Group has lined up for the season. Now more than ever, the company bets on innovation and offer diversification to continue growing and expanding. The Catalan promoter, present in over 50 countries, is responsible for, among others, the itinerant party calendar known as “Matinée World Tour” that takes them to more than 200 cities around the world, and festivals such as “Matinée Summer Festival”, that brings together more than 8.000 attendants in a day at a great big water park; or “Circuit Festival”, which mobilizes over 70.000 LGBT indentifying individuals on August’s first fortnight in Barcelona.
Every Saturday as of June 15th and thru Sept the 5th, Matinée will gather their best DJs, dancers and performersin Ibiza and will offer a distinctive thematic show party at Amnesia that will just blow your mind away, such as La Leche!, Boom, Red Light and Starship to name but a few of their many original and unique productions. Matinée reigns supreme in Ibiza in 2013 with its Saturday night party at the award winning Amnesia superclub.
The company has developed and ambitious audiovisual engineering project with one sole goal in mind: offering Ibiza audience (notoriously the world’s most demanding clubbing crowd) the biggest showcase of talent and grandeur to be found on the island.
Creativity will factor in greatly in the company’s plans for the season. Matinée Ibiza will stage a different and vibrant experience on a weekly basis by combining light, sound and state of the art technology. Up to 10 different stage shows spread over the summer calendar.
Some of the parties we can already advance are:
La Leche!: Matinée Group’s White party is also one of their most loved and exported productions. The ingredients that make up a good Leche are well known: suggestive dance troupe bathed in white, tidal attendance and the best soundtrack dished out by the Matinée All Star DJs.
Boom: Boom combines daring comic book inspired aesthetics with the most fun, crazy and colorful artistic troupe.
Pervert: A dark and provoking party that shines a noir light on the group’s imaginary, it will be one of the main dishes on this season’s calendar.
Red Light: Red overdose in a party that’s 100% Matinée. Furthermore, “Redlight” will host the group’s 15th Anniversary celebration in the island.
Starship: The “Matinée Starships” have come a long way to fill Amnesia with sounds and ambiance from another galaxy.
Special effects will not be the only responsible agents for ushering the audience into the “Matinée Experience”. The events’ lead role is also the soul of Matinée Group: their unmistakable sound. The music will be taken care of by residents Taito Tikaro and Lydia Sanz in the terrace and André Vicenzzo in the Main Room. They will not be alone, for all the Matinée All Star DJs will visit Amnesia’s DJ booth as guest DJs, as well as much loved singer Vanesa Klein.
Over 150 performers in diverse disciplines will complete the bill. With an specific stage and costume design for each party, over 230 exclusive couture items will be made to give life to the soirée’s concept.
To make it a complete experience, Amnesia has undergone significant technical improvements during the winter so as to make the interaction between the audience, the DJ and the performing crew more fluid, thus achieving a more immediate connection. From now on, the “Matinée Ibiza Xperience” will truly be a 360º affair with unprecedented intensity.
The “Opening”, the party that signals the beginning of the season, will be held on June 15th. After it, 16 weeks ahead of us; 16 intense Saturdays to enjoy the white island’s greatest showcase of performing talent, up until the season’s wrap up on October 5th.
