  • Eargasm, FABRICLIVE's all breakbeat party hosted by the Plump DJs, returns on FRIDAY DECEMBER 10. The launch night in August was easily the UK's biggest breaks event, and the incredible atmosphere that night is true testament to the strength of this thriving and exciting scene. The second installment is even bigger and, for breaks freaks, is simply unmissable. Joining The Plumps is the cream of UK breaks talent, including The Freestylers, FreQ Nasty, Hyper, Krafty Kuts, PFN (Proper Filthy Naughty), and Evil Nine. They~ll be playing alongside FABRICLIVE residents Ali B, Stanton Warriors, and Joe Ransom, and Radio 1~s own breaks champion, Annie Nightingale. In addition, some heavyweight international talent flies in to complete the line up. DJ ICEY makes his UK debut at Eargasm. The Orlando kid is the biggest name in US breakbeat, and synonymous with the funky breaks sound, often known in the UK as Florida booty bass. He began DJing back in the early 90s with a residency at The Edge club. He currently runs his own record label, Zone. From Germany, prolific producer, remixer and DJ TIMO MASS plays a specially crafted breaks set. Timo has had a huge impact on mainstream club culture over the past few years, with a sound he typifies as ~percussive wet funk~. Although he has long incorportated breakbeat into his DJ sets, it's at Eargasm that Timo will play his first breaks-only mix. From Italy, SANTOS plays Room Two. Santos hails from Rome, where he is a regular DJ at the respected breakbeat party Agata. Over the past year, Santos has made an impression on the breakbeat world with releases on Tayo~s Mob imprint, and his own imprint, Mantra Vibes. Santos~ album, ~Abrasive~, is out now on Mantra. Playing live will be Australian techno-breaks trio, INFUSION. Frank, Jamie and Manuel have played Fabric on a number of occasions, and never disappoint. In 2003 they won 'Best Single' at the Australian DMA~s, and produced tracks for the debut Freeland album. They've also remixed Bjork, New Order, Will Saul, and Delerium. This year they~ve played live at festivals all over the world, and their current single, ~Girls Can Be Cruel~, has been a favourite on London dancefloors for months.
