The event will be broadcast live from 8pm GMT via this link: http://new.livestream.com/TheTrailerTVuk/events/2152749 - The artists ARKIST : He is one of the new breeds of producer to have emerged in the wake of the dubstep wave. Originally from Brighton, a move to Bristol to live with Appleblim, Wedge and Gatekeeper kick started his production career, as did partaking in a Music tech course at Bath Spa University. Since then his music has continued to evolve, taking in cues from house, techno and plenty of bass. Big releases to date include the neon flow of ‘Fill Your Coffee’ on esteemed outlet Applepips, whilst his ‘One Year Later’ collaboration with Immerse boss Adam Jackson aka Kidkut on Hotflush – one of the hottest labels in the world right now – was also an underground hit. That label boss Scuba remixed the flip himself was the icing on the cake. Since then, Arkist has focused on gigging, playing much loved clubs like Fabric, London, festivals like Glade and Glastonbury and also many places around the States on a US tour. Now, though, he’s back in production mode… The future holds plenty of exciting new releases for the man, including on Hypercolour, Inhale and Berlin’s Odd Socks, whilst features in Mixmag and Computer Music, plus a mix for Rob Booth’s influential Electronic Explorations series are sure to cement the man’s reputation yet further going in to 2013. Having produced drum & bass for the last 10 years under the alias Raiden, he has a discography, label affiliations and dj history that would make most musicians green with envy. He is certainly no amateur in the music industry. Kamikaze Space Programme or ‘KSP‘, his latest project, is fusion of House & Techno experiments with a healthy dose of Chris Jarman’s own live percussion and his trademark monster bass production. Upon discovering the new UK bass movement , a music genre coming from post dubstep producers looking to create music with more substance and maturity, Chris felt this was the music he had waited 10 years for, and now he is part of it. After a decade of fusing 170bpms with techno and tribal rhythm’s Kamikaze Space Programme is the next logical step to his long and productive career – a sound devoid of rules and preconceptions, which is liberating for an artist who draws influences from a wide spectrum of music. Who else would mix Jeff Mills, Les Baxter and Hector Lavoe! Within the first 6 months of creating Kamikaze Space Programme Chris has been asked to write 2 eps for the Bristol based label Deca Rhythm and received support from artists such as Addison Groove, Mj Cole, Blawan & Randomer as well as international bookings. With a remix on Civil music, and his new EP coming up on WNCL Recordings in July, KSP is one to follow tight this year ! He has been working on a dj set up using the latest digital technology which aims to create a unique experience way beyond the realms of 2 turntables and a mixer mixing up styles from Tech House, Electro, to early Chicago House and Detroit Techno. He was there at the start and he'll be there at the end. NAZA is also the owner/operator of FUTURE FOLLOWER RECORDS Having played all over the world, he has his finger on the pulse of whats new, and whats coming next.
