As befits what may well be our last party of the year, we've pulled out all the stops to ensure that the December House Trained is the jewel in our 2004 crown. Not only will the night see the return of our friend Steve Proctor to the decks (our first guest DJ way back in March, don't you know), but he will be joined by a man who can only be described as a house music hero, Terry Farley.
From his early incarnation in the mid-eighties as a champion of emerging music and style in the Faith fanzine, through his production, remix and label management work (for the revered Boys Own and Junior), and onto his continuing draw as an international DJ, Mr Farley has always been a purveyor of quality dance sounds. His headline set at December's party will be the first time he and Steve have played on the same bill for a number of years, and hence it will be something of an acid house reunion to end 2004.
Farley and Proctor will play all night in the basement club, while House Trained residents Neil Terry, Ben Terry and Phil Loraine will air their electro-disco monsters upstairs early on by way of support.
Strobes, smoke and smileys...dance yourself stupid.
