ESP is celebrating Youth Day 2013 with the debut performance of PHAXE in South Africa – the man behind the ProgPsyTrance dancefloor hit “Mr Bogart”.
The event will also feature all the ESP resident DJs across 2 dance floors PLUS special guest DJ manifesto along with Alessandro Mariola and other local guest DJs.
Phaxe is signed to Iboga Records and has released 3 EPs and more than 30 tracks on compilations and digital releases on various labels all over the world. This highly acclaimed producer & DJ has worked with some of the top names defining ProgPsyTrance today, including Audiomatic, Morten Granau, Vice, Zyce, Flegma and many others. Still as a young producer, he was asked to remix some of his early Progressive Psy Trance idols like Haldolium, Atmos and Symphonix.

PHAXE | Biography:
PHAXE has gone from a no-name to an international player of the Progressive Trance elite within no time. Following his entrance onto the scene in 2007, he has since become synonymous with upper-league party music. Highly acclaimed live sets all around the world, applauded releases, and remixes for some of the scene’s biggest names tell an impressive story of success; a story that often concludes with the man from Copenhagen being described as a “Progressive Prodigy”.
Looking back, the evolution of Phaxe’s sound is the history of a perfect storm brewing: starting with excessive party weekends in the late 90s, which awakened his interest in electronic music production, it eventually led to his first creative steps taken in front of a Nintendo gaming console. His newfound passion also led to training as professional audio engineer, with these 3 stages of Phaxe’s career still defining his style today: his music is to-the-floor, playful, and high-quality in terms of sound.
His first release “Swing King” gained great acclaim and respect, and led to production work with artists such as Audiomatic, Morten Granau, Vice, Zyce, Flegma and many others. As a young producer, he was asked to remix some of his early Progressive Psy Trance idols like Haldolium, Atmos and Symphonix.
Despite his impressive success story, Phaxe always keeps a humorous and friendly attitude, which is very noticeable when seeing him play live on stage. It is there where his unbroken passion for Progressive Psy Trance rubs off on the audience through vibrant waves of sound and energy.
Today Phaxe is signed to Iboga Records and has released 3 EPs and more than 30 tracks on compilations and digital releases on various labels. Phaxe is his main project, but he also has two side projects: Sinister Silence together with Dan Hassner and High & Mighty together with Morten Granau.
