- The House de Frost 5th Birthday Jam! feat: ZANZIBAR CHANEL / NO ZU / ELEVATOR ALLIGATORS / ANDRAS FOX / ANDEE FROST To help us out of our training wheels, we thought it best to invite a few of our favourite local bands down and do things a lil differently for a of our bday! A duo who need no introduction we have d favs Zanzibar Chanel, fresh outta Port Phillip Detention Centre and onto the stage Zach & Baba X have been turning it out all over town for the past year now. No stranger to THDF their show at last years drag ball became stuff of legend, and since they have landed themselves spots on Boiler Room, Golden Plains, MONA and every other worthy stage around town. Zanzi will be performing an extended set and have a bunch of new material to debut as well! Next up we have NO ZU! The much talked about melbourne 7 piece. Invoking a new wave post punk aesthetic circa Downtown NYC 1989, taking inspiration from bands like Liquid Liquid and James Chance NO ZU's performance is an explosion of percussion dripping in reverbed vocals drowned out with handclaps and horn stabs, culminating as an irresistible urge to move your ass! This infectious formula has made them one of our most favourite bands to come out of melbourne in the past few years. Ending at the beginning we have the illusive Elevator Alligators warming things up for the night. This cosmisch downtempo quartet will provide a soundtrack to the start of the evening blending tripped out vocals rare exotica records with an mpc and live keys. The Alligators will elevate you to the next dimension and if you're lucky they might just leave you there! on disc jockey duties we have ANDRAS FOX early and Andee Frost be bringing it home late $10 door tax, Doors Open at 9PM Tickets On Sale Soon
