  • Lazerpop monthly party is back to bring you some of the absolute freshest grooves out there! Hell yeah! -PHAELEH- Phaeleh – pronounced “Fella” Since his debut release in 2008, Phaeleh aka Matt Preston has developed an inimitable style of cinematic electronic music. His genre-busting output morphing between the shifting tempos and timbres of dubstep, garage, electronica and house music. Phaeleh’s last two long play releases on Afterglo; ‘Fallen Light’ and ‘The Cold In You’ have cemented his position as one of the most exciting new producers to emerge from the fertile soil of the UK Bass scene. As a Bristol native Phaeleh’s downbeat and heartfelt sound honours the tradition of the Bristolian fore fathers Massive Attack, Smith & Mighty and Portishead, with a fresh outlook and penchant for sub sonics. His high-spec production style has won him support from the scene’s leading taste makers including; Skream, N-Type, Scuba and Kryptic Minds, as well as radio coverage on BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music, Kiss, Rinse and XFM. Phaeleh is currently in high demand, with a busy DJ schedule for this summer, including dates at; Fabric, Outlook Festival, Kendal Calling, Secret Garden Party & Beach Break. He is also working on his next feature length recording, due for release in the summer of 2013. -THE-DRUM- "With R&B production work for an aspiring vocalist as the spark for their initial collaboration, Chicago musicians Jeremiah Chrome and Brandon Boom began working together as The-Drum at the tail end of 2010. Thankfully, while that initial project never bore fruit, a more personal, creative partnership bloomed from its foundering. The duo found their voice and began producing tracks that showcased their own refined strain of R&B; a smooth hybrid of ominous, chopped vocal samples, synths, and deep bellowing bass." -MOON BOUNCE- Moon Bounce is Philadelphia’s warped electronic maestro, Corey Regensburg. Taking cues from classic R&B, hip-hop and even the rhythmic lurching of metal, Corey’s recognizable sound is the culmination of his unique artistic endeavors. Walking the fine line between creation and disintegration, his output combines soulful vocals with jagged percussion; calming, yet on the verge of falling apart. In May 2011, Moon Bounce dropped his debut EP, Darn Your Best Frock, which was met with praise and intrigue by some of the most notable tastemaker blogs. Prefix Mag described the “vibrant spacey vibes” as “organic, cohesive and wholly enjoyable” while Potholes In My Blog praised his “stylish production”. The closing track “Jealousy March” spawned a hallucinogenic and beautifully shot video that nicely accompanied the haphazard beats and drones. After sharing the stage with the likes of Shlohmo, Teen Daze, Groundislava and ANR, Corey released a number of singles, including the XLR8R featured “Telephone”. In fact, he had the starring role in the track’s video, showing a bit of his comedic personality and letting fans know that everything should not be taken seriously all the time. Working quickly and only stopping briefly to focus on producing hip-hop beats (another weapon in Corey’s musical arsenal), Moon Bounce teamed up with Chill Mega Chill Records and prepared to turn heads again with his sophomore Wheelhouse EP. Wheelhouse’s classical piano infusion, pitch shifted vocals and syncopated bass fills work to create a serene, groove-obsessed atmosphere. Described by Chill Mega Chill as having a “knack for making ethereal, yet intricate, productions that feel loose and endless as space itself while simultaneously maintaining a precise and mature balance”, Moon Bounce’s vision continues to grow and his creativity shines in an otherwise predictable musical climate. Get on board or get left behind. -ENOE- No stranger to NYC's underground music scene, Enoe aims to become a new addition to the artists known for pushing boundaries. Since emerging on the scene in late 2007, his knowledge and love for music allowed him to play a huge variation of events in his hometown's hot spots. Bringing crowds together with classic hits from Disco, Oldskool Hip Hop, to House. All of which he was exposed to at a very young age by two of the most influential music enthusiast in his life, his older brother and father. It wasn't until very long after that he spent the first couple of years of his career slowly building and exploring into deeper and heavier bass driven music, that he realized that he wanted to add his own sound to the spectrum. In early 2010, Enoe teamed up with old band mate and long time friend, Andrew Siedenburg (Eight Six), to form Background Sound, a project that would introduce him as a producer. With plans of introducing his solo material along with Background Sound's first release, It looks like 2011 will surely be a very promising year for this native New Yorker. Be sure to catch him playing some of NYC's major events very soon.
