After years spent playing guitar and trumpet while discovering the world of Jazz and Blues, Tolga Baklacioglu started his search for innovation and soon discovered electronic music. He began to build on his vinyl collection and was soon DJing in the clubs in Ankara, the capital city of Turkey.
After taking up a residency at legendary The Club 20 in Ankara, Tolga has quickly developed an international profile, having played in Berlin, Warsaw, Krakow and Wroclaw.
As a producer, Tolga began to make his way through the architecture of creative and sophisticated minimalism. He has records released on labels like Berlin’s Lebensfreude Records and Resopal Schallware from Germany, to Living Records (UK), Kalimari Musique (Canada) and Psycle Records (Switzerland).
His vinyl release “Lovin” was charted by Thomas Schumacher, Technasia and played by Loco Dice, Chloe, Margaret Dygas, Brothers Vibe, Hugo, Tini, Jens Bond and Someone Else among many others.
On route to South Africa for a few exclusive gigs, Tolga is excited to bring his flavour of techno to Chukkachurri in Cape Town.
