  • A special event to mark the unveiling of The Outer Church's first compilation album, to be released as a 28-track 2CD set and download via Front & Follow Records on August 5th. Vindicatrix Inviting comparison with Scott Walker, Marc Almond and Billy Mackenzie, London-based composer David Aird has carved out a unique space in which tense rhythms scuttle into thick clouds of electronic noise and torch songs are overwhelmed by bleak introspection. Some Truths Hackney’s Ralph Cumbers (aka Bass Clef) conjures hypnotic grooves via the science of raw analogue synthesis. His live sets are physically demanding demonstrations of human-patchbay synergy. These Feathers Have Plumes Ex-Cindytalk bassist Andie Brown is The Queen Of The Glassy Drones: Brown utilises wineglasses, found sounds.and electronics to create beautifully detailed and immersive sonic landscapes. Kemper Norton Cornwall-raised and Brighton-based, multi-instrumentalist Kemper Norton is at the vanguard of British Avant-Folk experimentation, as demonstrated by his two-part release, Carn, and his contribution to Front & Follow’s excellent Collision/Detection series, Rough Music. Harem A member of mysterious London collective Old Apparatus, Harem recently contributed to a well-received series of 12" releases whose highlights are collected on the outstanding Compendium compilation. Harem will be providing live audiovisual interludes throughout the night.
