INPUT is a quarterly producer’s conference for up-coming music makers to learn directly from and also engage with, a guest lineup of world renowned music producers and influential players in the independent music industry. Through in-depth presentations and Q&A’s focusing on production techniques and industry insights, presenters will share their knowledge, passion and experiences to inspire and impart wisdom upon Sydney’s community of emerging musical talent.
The lineup for this edition of the INPUT event include:
Tim Shiel (Gotye’s right hand man) will be discussing live performance and production, showing us how he broke down the Grammy award winning album Making Mirrors, to create the Ableton Live powered live show that he has (as part of Gotye) been touring the world with for the last two years.
Nathan McLay - the head of of the Future Classic record label, responsible for signing Flume, Touch Sensitive, Flight Facilities, LDRU and more - will be discussing what labels look for and how to get your music signed.
On the day there’s also presentations on sound design techniques from Ableton’s Adam Maggs, production insights from synth & drum machine aficionados Gardland and interactive media techniques and design from Max For Live guru Vaughan Allan.
