Shining the spotlight this week on awesome talents Brendan Pinilla & Dan Kouzan who you may remember from a thumping opening set a couple of months ago, one half of Glitch Dj’s and long time Sydney producer and dj’s Dave Choe alongside Toby Neal and no strangers to good times in Sydney, U-khan & Pharley.. MAD !!
This week, S*A*S*H plays host to:
★ Brendan Pinilla & Dan Kouzan ★
After opening up the day several months ago, and absolutely blowing us away by putting together one of our favorite sets, we thought we just had to stamp “WE LIKE” all over them and give them the headline slot for a week ! With such an impressive first set at S*A*S*H, expectations are high.. and trust us.. they will deliver something that will not disappoint !!!
★ Gabby ★
The 1st lady of S.A.S.H returns as will her unrivalled energy & clear cut knowledge now of how to get that terrace pumping. She's our wing bitch & true supporter of S.A.S.H. Fresh off the bat from a stellar set flying the back and yellow flag in Revolver last Sunday, she’s eager to get back to her home party.
★ Dave Choe ★
Playing individually for over 15 years and alongside Matt Aubusson under the moniker “Glitch Dj’s” for just under a decade now, Matt and Dave have long championed a unique sound, occasionally with unintended consequences, which incorporates stripped-back house music, pitched-down Cologne techno, acid grooves, floppy disco and any track that has a guitar in it. With their fresh project “Masters of the Universe,” Dave is going to be out to showcase a few new tricks and rustle some Jimmy’s while he is at it !
★ Toby Neal ★
Since trading his sax for two turn tables and mixer Toby has played every Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane venue and party worth their salt over the last decade. Not content with just playing music, he has also kept himself busy producing his own music while teamed up with one of his back2back DJ partners and good friend, Illya. Currently in the throes of establishing their own production label, both are working hard in the studio and it is anticipated that their follow up to ‘Pusstime’ will be felt around the dance floors imminently.
★ U-khan & Pharley ★
Australia has a habit of stealing all the great things that come out New Zealand and labeling it as their own.. and in this case, both Nergal and Pharley are even less Australian than Russell Crowe. The two gents have quickly gained a penchant for all things deviant techno since arriving in Australia, and bringing their ability of throwing some of the most pumping parties in NZ across to Sydney.. which gives them a big tick next to their names in our books !
★ Supper Set ★
So you may have noticed that we've been starting the tunes for our newly branded "Supper Set" from 7pm inside. It runs till 11pm and is a mix of stripped back and slo-mo house.
The scruffy haired ninja is back in the den.. unfortunately Tomika will not be present, Tom will fill those shoes.
