Astral People invite you to an evening of tectonic proportions with UK producer, DJ and Hessle Audio label founder PANGAEA.
Helming what is considered Leeds’ first ever dubstep night, Ruffage back in 2005, Pangaea (aka 25 year old Kevin McAuley) eventually linked himself with David Kennedy and Ben Thomson (better known as Pearson Sound and Ben UFO respectively). Together in 2007, the trio founded Hessle Audio - now considered one of the most unique and respected labels in the ever-progressive UK continuum. With an eye to textures and an ear for future-superstars, Hessle has been behind the breakthrough releases from James Blake, Blawan, Objekt, Martyn and many more.
Pangaea’s sounds continue his label ethos of pushing new boundary’s within classic dubstep, garage and techno frameworks - built for the dancefloor as much as the headphones. His academic approach to club constructions has seen releases on Hemlock and Hotflush Recordings, touring globally whilst accepting invitations to compile unique mixes for BBC1 and Resident Advisor.
Considered one of few current innovators in the ever-evolving global clubosphere, Pangaea will be sure to provide a unique dancefloor experience far beyond its time.
