Metro Area, the brainchild of Morgan Geist and Darshan Jesrani, was born out of the pair's love for both the old moods of R&B, disco and boogie, and the cutting-edge sound of house and techno. Their 2001 release "Miura" hit number one on Resident Advisor's "Top 100 Tracks of the '00s," and the EP it was hosted on, MA 4, sold over 16,000 copies without a single promotional mailer sent out to stimulate sales. Metro Area's self-titled debut album emerged in 2004, and earned them a place among Rolling Stone's "Top 50 Albums of 2002," BBC/Radio 1's "Dance Album of the Year" and "Best New Artist" at the 2003 DanceStar/American Dance Awards.
The Magic Message are Philly DJs Jeffrey Bouchard & Sean Hearn. The two throw the long-standing disco party at Philly’s highly energized subterranean club, Medusa Lounge, and have also pushed the envelope of the late night underground Philly scene by DJing their bi-monthly ETC party that outlets more of the duo’s deeper selections.
