Claude VonStroke and the Dirtybird family touch down in London on Saturday September 28th to present Dirtybird Players featuring an all-star line up of the label’s finest artists and a few friends thrown in for good measure. With more names TBA this night is fast shaping up to be one of the hottest parties in town this autumn.
Founded in 2005 by Claude VonStroke Dirtybird Records has been responsible for delivering some of the most innovative, off-key, bass-heavy and just plain entertaining house music around from artists like Justin Martin, Eats Everything, KiNK, Kill Frenzy, Shadow Child, Dusky, Catz ‘n Dogz, A1 Bassline, Zombie Disco Squad, Worthy, J.Philip, Riva Starr, Edu K and many more.
Heading up the party will be the big bird himself, who at time of performing will have just released his third artist album ‘Urban Animal’ (Rel: Sept 17th) Joining him will be fellow Dirtybird hero Justin Martin who is without a doubt one of the most talented producers in dance music – check his ‘Ghettos & Gardens’ album released last year to get a flavour of what this man can deliver.
Next up is Polish duo Catz ‘N Dogz bring their unique brand of techno / house which has seen them release on acclaimed labels such as Trapez, Crosstown Rebels, Pokerflat and of course Dirtybird. Berlin-based Zombie Disco Squad defined the bass-heavy ‘blog house’ sound in the late noughties with releases such as Trumpets & Tom Toms EP, first appearing on Dirtybird in 2009 with his ‘Congo Fire’ EP, ZDS has also appeared on cool house imprints like Made to Play, Sound Pellegrino and Dubsided. Kill Frenzy from Belgium finalises this announcement making a line up worth its weight in gold.
