Club Luxar ft Louis La Roche, Punks Jump Up, The C90s

  • Whether you've been dancing in the streets of Notting Hill or spent the afternoon at SW4 on Clapham Common.....on August 25th some of the biggest names in Nu Disco touch down in Brixton for what will be the ultimate party to end your Bank Holiday Sunday. LOUIS LA ROCHE needs no introduction - growing up on a diet of Daft Punk, Cassius and Mr. Oizo, he has collaborated with Patrick Alavi, produced remixes for the likes of Madonna, Basement Jaxx, Fred Falke, Spiller, The Scissor Sisters and Teenage Bad Girl, and DJs regularly across the globe, including the hallowed Social Club in Paris. Expect pumping Disco re-edits and big synth riffs. PUNKS JUMP UP, signed to the amazing Kitsune record label, have released Disco Club smashes over the past 4 years, and have remixed for the likes of Miike Snow, Oliver, Two Door Cinema Club, St Lucia, Gossip, Robyn, Ladyhawke, Crystal Castles, Chromeo, Tiga to Joakim, Ladytron, Yelle, In Flagranti, Supermen Lovers & Peter Bjorn & John. They've just finished touring Australia and are now working on their first album which is due for release soon.... EARL GREY is Danny from THE C90s - the brilliant Disco House duo. Expect more eclectic sounds from this set - the idea behind Earl Grey was to channel a variety of different sounds created in the studio and 'not to follow a singular sound or style'. Expect the unexpected. BLENDE is a bright young star of Nu Disco and is quickly being heralded as one of the most exciting new acts on the electronic music scene. He seamlessly integrates hard-hitting electro via robotic synths, mixed with funky disco grooves, all with a rock ‘n’ roll edge. His mixture of influences creates a sound that is all his own, yet can be likened to works of everyone from Daft Punk to Hall & Oates, MSTRKRFT to Timbaland. His first time playing Brixton, this set is not to be missed. JOSH GT is Josh from Goth Tech - a Slow House production duo from South London (who have just remixed the brilliant Clean Bandit). Don't expect anything slow from his set at Club Luxar though - his solo sets are known for their unabashed championing of classic House and Garage, with a sprinkling of Old Skool Rave thrown in. Proper party vibes. LUXAR is Tom Oke, who along with promoter Rich Britton from Hear We Dance have organised this night. They share a passion for Disco and Nu Disco, with Rich having organised parties in some of the best venues in London, including 93ft east and KOKO in Camden. Tom was Lead Remixer on the DJ Hero videogames and as Luxar has released 2 tracks on Lyon's JUICY label, remixes for Fanny Games and Vanguard and has created many other productions, remixes and edits. See you there x
