Sam Shepherd AKA Floating Points is first up, making his highly anticipated Mint Club debut. Now amongst the biggest players in the game, Flo Po's tracks on Eglo are widely regarded as sheer genius. Coming from a classically trained background, the musicality, arrangement and overall swagger of his tunes have to be stood back and admired. With Giles Peterson and Ben UFO amongst his greatest admirers, you know this guy has skills to pay the bills.
Never afraid to work boogie, funk or hip hop into his sets, Sam travels everywhere with his handmade E&S rotary mixer. He's a flawless DJ, and we can testify; he steals the show every time we seen him.
Underground hero Move D is next up, the star of our double 5th anniversary celebrations last year. Releasing since '94 on labels such as Workshop, Uzuri, Philpot, Compost and even Warp, the German producer always pushes house and techno's boundaries towards analog outer space. His performances, as Move D or his live project with Juju & Jordash 'Magic Mountain High' inspire unequalled positive emotion, and were both a smash hit at this years Free Rotation festival. On top of this, he's one of the soundest dudes in the business, we can't wait to welcome him back.
