It’s that time again. On our last outing, De:Bug took over Replica Nightclub, The Fez Club and The Fez Car Park – Playing host to 2500 ravers at Tramlines festival . . .we’re still entirely flabbergasted as to what happened that day! We’ve not seen a party that size in forever in the steel city, Sheffield is such an amazing place to party right now!!!!
Our ethos has always been to make our next party bigger than the last . . . This is getting pareeeetty tough! So we’ve gone with one of our tried and tested triple threat headline events . . . Two more Debutants for the Steel city and the return of an Artist very much loved in the De:Bug office!
Heidi
The first debut for this event is given to none other than Miss JACKATHON herself! There is a rare collective of DJ’s worldwide, who genuinely make a mark through their performances behind the decks alone. Tekkers on the 1’s n 2’s get an artist everywhere, and rightly so! Heidi Van Amstel has unbelieeeeeableeee Tekkers, this girl’s not happy unless she has the whole crowd freekin’ out on the dance floor!! Heidi’s musical schooling began with a couple of years working down at the legendary wax store - Phonica records in London. Living her life surrounded by Wax, combined with her infectiously energetic personality soon saw her rise in musical stature take a much steeper climb. Her knowledge, skills and basically being a top human being, led to her being scouted by Radio One for their ‘In new DJ’s we trust’ (Now RESIDENCY) Show. Basically spreading the vibes of new world class talent nice and thick across the airwaves! Not content with this, Heidi went on to create her own show stopping, road show event, and taking new talent with her around the globe, the ‘JACKATHON’ WAS BORN! Her recent Jackthon showcase with Huxley and Cassy on Boiler Room TV was jaw droppingly good!! Miss Van Amstel . . . we cannot wait . . . BRING IT!!!
Tom Demac
He’s been down to Jam with us before this old Lad, and boy did he kill it! Giving Tom the Headline slot back in November last year ended in utter destruction of the Fez club. His own original number/WMD - Critical Mass pt 2 left the crowd an absolute gibbering mess, this track has gone on to become a full on De:Bug anthem. Tom’s last appearance was in the form of a ‘DJ set’. This time we unleash Mr Demac and his complete LIVE show . . .for anyone who has seen his Boiler Room live set, you’ll know to bring extra socks, as they’re gonna be getting blown clean off all night!
De Sluwe Vos
Our second debutant is Mr De Sluwe Vos, a name you may not be as familiar with. This new kid on the block has made a LOT of noise over the last 18 months with his productions gaining support from the likes of the House Gangster himself – DJ Sneak. To say we are excited about this young chap joining us is a slight understatement, and being the first to bring him to Sheffield is a major coup! DSV is going to super charge the Fez dance floor with his now trademark RAW, aggressive house sound, that is making waves worldwide. He’s seen the damage done by the MLIU boys at the last De:Bug and is determined to raise the bar once more. This is going to be HEAVY!!
