Bringing some luminary DJs such as East End Dubs, Pelo Rizardo, Scott Kemp and more recently; Brett Jacobs, Jack & I and Colin Chiddle to Colchester, we have really seen some top quality music down in the Funktion-One Basement. It is with great pleasure we can announce to you the collaboration between one of our favourite labels & ourselves for this special end of summer party. We have teamed up with Lewis Ryder’s Bigger Deer Recordings to bring you a showcase of some of the finest House & Techno around. Bigger Deer Recordings is the imprint of Lewis Ryder. Founded in 2008, now 2013 and having just celebrated their 5th year at ‘The 2013 #4 club in the world’ – Fabric, the label still manages to produce top quality House and Techno. Heading in a particular direction, not necessarily genre specific. But instead striding towards and pushing a sound of quality, underground, electronic music. It is with great pleasure to bring an iconic sound to Colchester. With an upcoming EP on the label and bringing a special LIVE HARDWARE SET to Tribal, we welcome the Italian: EMANUELE PERTOLDI After a lot of time behind experiments with sequencers, synthesizers & DJ gear, he decided to pay more attention to his productions rather than finding places to DJ due to the lack of opportunities to play his genre around him. Sound research, creativity and passion are the keys to his tracks. Promoting the concept of quality over quantity, he delves deep to transmit his sensations with warm waves that let your body feel the emotion inside the music. Also releasing under his pseudonym, S/EXP (Shaded Explorer), where he creates experiments in soundscapes and deep journeys. LEWIS RYDER Joining Emanuele, label honcho & party curator, Lewis Ryder, will be returning to Colchester to demonstrate his understanding of underground, raw, techno. EDWARD B Label friend, Edward B, hosts ‘The Dance’ monthly radio show, and will be performing a vinyl only set for us.
