Seven years and over a hundred parties since the flashing fairground light was turned on for the first time, Durrr is throwing its final party.
Starting life as a weekly at the much missed club The End, Durrr Residents Rory Phillips and The Lovely Jonjo ensured that the party was the star while selecting their pick of emerging and established talent.
The memories are vivid: a debut show from Lykke Li delivered standing atop the DJ console, Dan Deacon transforming the main room of The End into a conga tunnel, Whitey delivering a blistering final London show, Connan Mockasin hypnotising us for the first time, a fresh faced Brodinski sipping his rider of Lemon Fanta between records, an early UK appearance from A-Trak, These New Puritans bruising percussion, Micachu's Hoover solo, Simian Mobile Disco's dazzling live show, Secret shows from Soulwax and Franz Ferdinand, Boys Noize backed by an original air raid siren.. and all of this on a Monday night for a fiver.
Around this time Durrr branched out to hosting events in other countries, bringing The xx and Metronomy with them to Paris and Late Of The Pier and Hercules & Love Affair to a party in Miami with their kindred spirits from New York, Fixed.
Upon The End's closing in 2009, and a riotous final send off with 2ManyDJS, Durrr became a nomadic weekend affair, with nights at Fabric, XOYO and Village Underground providing appearances from Factory Floor, Jacques Renault, Classixx, Kindness, Holy Ghost and James Murphy before ending 2012 with a weekender featuring a rare back to back set from Erol Alkan and Xavier Du Rosnay.
Which brings us to today, with Durrr choosing, much like it's parent club Trash, to end on a high with one last party. Beneath the fairground light that bears it's name and acts as it's beating heart, a colourful symbol of everything it is and was. We invite all of you that made it what it is to come dance under it with us for the final time.

Rory Phillips: Mixed Fortunes Live
With the final volumes on the way, Durrr resident Rory Phillips is bringing the music from his Mixed Fortunes singles club into the live arena for the first time. Make no mistake, this will not be a laptop affair, Rory will be joined a full band consisting of friends and collaborators.
The Lovely Jonjo
2013 has been a great year for original resident Jonjo. Playing a closing set for Kraftwerk sell out shows in London as well as appearances at the Bloc 9 area at Glastonbury and Lovebox festivals. Jonjo has just had his first remix for Is Tropical released on French label Kitsune and has more remixes and original tracks in the pipeline.
