In just 7 hours we can make you dance and sing once again to the dark refrain of the musical universe. So please do join us on the 21st of September as we blast this puppy back off through the ether into the stratosphere and who knows maybe even time, itself!? .darkroom & The House of Mince together - give yourselves over to absolute pleasure! THE HOUSE OF MINCE “Remember the days when small but mighty underground parties didn’t need flashy venues to serve up a hot little time and went down at random places like the Alexandria Basketball Stadium, an abandoned train carriage or the local K Mart car park"? The days where recreational drugs where void of Windex or Ajax, and DJs weren’t just undernourished hipsters with over-crammed iPods, but instead, skilled spinners who were passionate about their craft. Well much like Donald Trumps hair, those days are gone, so instead of combing over the memory, we need to do a Britney, shave away the pain and move on. Fortunately today, Sydney is blessed with left-of-center parties that creep in from under the radar. Parties that create magic on shoestring budgets yet offer so much more than overly produced parties that under-deliver. If you’re wanting to rub front and back bottoms with people who feel the music and interpret it with obsessive compulsive jazz hands, high kicks and robot moves, then welcome to the best show in town.” The first brainchild of THOM was a party called Mince Meat. Mince Meat was dedicated to reviving the glory days of the Sydney warehouse scene in the 1990s. This homage to the way underground Sydney once partied, hosted warehouse parties with international talent such as Heidi (Get Physical, BBC Radio1), Philip Bader (Highgrade, Dantze), Valentino (Gomma Records) and a whole host of amazing local talent including Stereogamous and an outrageous acid house flashback with high energy DJ star Ming-D (why hello 1993). Cue 2013 and The House of Mince was born. This was the breaking point for T.H.O.M. It was time to start bringing out artists that we wanted to see. https://www.facebook.com/HAUSdeMINCE SIMONA KAPITOLINA is a Melbourne DJ/Producer playing across the styles of new beat, EBM, italo and Dutch Electro.
