- After another memorable Terrace Party marathon at The Beaver Works, rounding off the Summer in style, Flux's next instalment will see us strip things back a little, making our debut appearance within the altogether more intimate confines of Full Circle. Joining us will be Cologne's current hottest property and talk of the town, Damiano Von Erckert, on his Leeds debut, who will be playing an extended set. He will be joined by Flux residents Aartekt and Archie. Artists / Cologne-based Damiano Von Erckert was fortunate to be born not only into a musical city, but a musical family as well. Damiano's father was a house and hip-hop DJ, and indeed Damiano cut his teeth on the soul, funk and house records that were to be found around the house. Cologne has a rich heritage for electronic music, with Kompakt label and Motor City Drum Ensemble among the more notorious names to emerge from the city. Damiano felt that all too often the city aligned itself with the Kompakt sound, not giving as much exposure to the more traditional and raw sounds that first emanated from across the Atlantic. In starting his own label, Ava, he sought to provide a new home and meeting place for producers that shared his North American inspired vision. Prosumer, Marcus Worgull, Christopher Rau and Murat Tepeli are among the artists to have released material on the label since then, and it continues to go from strength to strength. Damiano's recent debut solo album 'Love Based Music' has garnered high praise from critics, representing a personal musical taste that we believe will fit perfectly at Full Circle.
