  • Astral People presents the debut of Sigha + Shifted in Sydney! Long term friends and collaborators SIGHA and SHIFTED launch a new series of events showcasing the sound surrounding their Our Circula Sound and Avian imprints. Both producers and their labels have risen to prominence over the last few years, helping to spearhead the newly resurgent UK techno scene. The series of parties promises to fuse their more esoteric influences with the pitch black techno they have become known for. We welcome the duo to play a very special B2B set for a mega 5+ hours at the Civic Underground. SIGHA Sigha is one of the Key figures to emerge from the newly resurgent UK Techno scene. Releases on James Ruskin’s Blueprint Label, Hotflush Recordings and Remixes for CLR, Perc Trax, Mikrowave, Echocord and Token to name a few have blurred the lines between the abstract and the dance floor. A huge supporter of Vinyl, he set up his Our Circula Sound stable in 2010 to create a home for his specific vision of Techno. Sigha’s sound blends traditionalism with a deep take on sound design and atmosphere, and his ability to translate this into uniquely balanced DJ sets has seen him play regularly at the world’s most prestigious venues. SHIFTED Shifted has been rising swiftly from the murky shadows of UK Techno. His first of two EPs on techno legend Luke Slater's esteemed Mote Evolver imprint instantly grabbed the attention of the entire techno community. He also released his debut LP on Mote Evolver titled "Crossed Paths" which made a large impact along with his steady releases on his own label Avian. Shifted's detailed, rhythmic compositions and texture capture the attention of the most discerning ears. His growing remix demand has led to reworks of UK Techno legends The Black Dog as well as peers Sigha and Cio D'Or amongst others. We are proud to invite him to set the launch of Format.
