Summer has ended.. Time for another edition of Adapter’s ‘Genius By Default’ acid concept!
Ones again we managed to book some of the worlds legendary acid hero’s who will share the stage with some up and coming local artists. Be ware! With this line up the 5th edition promises to be the darkest yet!
Beverly Hills 808303 / i-f
We are very proud to present to you a very exclusive dj performance of Beverly Hills 808303, the acid alias of Ferenc vd Sluijs, who, as I-F, was responsible for the electro classic “Space Invaders are smoking grass”. It’s very rare that Ferenc performs a pure and raw acid dj set these days so this opportunity is not to be mist!.
The Beverly Hills 808303 project was created in the mid 90s and drew its musical drive from those ground breaking Roland boxes, the TB-303 and TR-808. With releases on the seminal Acid Planet label as well as Drop Bass Network and Reference Analogue Audio.
Drvg Cvltvre (live)
Drvg Cvltvre is Vincent Koreman… a veteran Dutch electronic music producer known amongst others in the past as RA-X with releases on Bunker and Kommando 6… Drvg Cvltvre is his latest incarnation. 21st century new beat / acid… slow, raw and dirty stuff for the dancefloor.
Bliksem(live)
Influenced by underground acid labels like Bunker and DropBass Network and more experimental stuff on labels such as Rephlex and Skam, Bliksem prefers using analogue equipment to create his music. His live sets consist of particular minimal beats and coarse TB-303 bass lines that make for a slow acid groove and takes you back to a time when squatting was legal in The Netherlands.
Lamot
The most eccentric resident DJ of Zodiak Commune with its own unique blend of Oldskool Acid House, Ambient and Acid Trance. Dj Lamot also was the gifted founder of the still existing VJ Collective LXDTV, co-founder of U-Niks - as currently run by DJ Bor - team lead at Orkapot - where he hosted his own "Lost Tracks in Space" editions - and closely involved in the Adapter Collective. He always manages to touch the sensitive chord with that one record that no one else dares to play. He can bring it on loud, but the seasoned sensitive ears is what he is aiming for.
