This will be our seventh party in the VS format, which sees two DJs paired up based on stylistic similarities and a mutual respect to create a unique musical experience. Where most of the artists involved in the series so far have been veterans of their respective scenes, this time we look to the younger generation for a couple of prolific and eclectic producers who have been making waves in recent years. Eglo Records family member FunkinEven will be making his second Australian appearance to play side-by-side with Sydney prodigy Dro Carey, who also releases as Tuff Sherm. Both artists share a passion for experimentation and exploration, with discographies that span house, techno and leftfield, suggesting that the night is likely to cover a broad range of sounds and styles.
The party, which we will be co-hosting with local promoters Astral People, will go down at the Civic Underground, the same spot as our RA X show back in September 2011.
