The Monarchy presents AÉREA NEGROT [BPitch Control / Berlin] LIVE for the very first time in Perth.
Few artists can pull off the marriage between deep, hypnotic dance music, and sexual and cultural meditation. But then, few dance artists are quite as charismatic as Aérea Negrot.
The Berlin-based Venezuelan born singer-songwriter gained notoriety as a member of Hercules & Love Affair with her iconic vocals featured on singles such as "My House" and "Painted Eyes".
But it’s her solo work and captivating performances that have elevated Negrot to underground royalty. Live, Negrot is an explosive energy, an androgynous force of nature pulsing across the stage with a sexual fury that few audiences forget.
On Friday November 1st, she visits Connections Nightclub along with her accompanist and frequent collaborator MIGUEL TORO, who will follow the performance with an extended DJ set.
The night will also feature support from Ben Taaffe, Doepel-Capelas & Sons, plus an all-girl DJ lineup (Modesty Blaze, Donna Kebabey, Mama Cass) in Connections’ long awaited new lounge and revamped terrace bar. Meanwhile, performances by vogue dance troupe House of Ra and avant-drag performance art collective Gendermess will leave you gasping for more.
