To celebrate the 1st anniversary, Demiurge welcomes Berghain resident and Dystopian label chief Rødhåd (featured in RA Top DJs of 2013), for a very special one-off 'all night long' DJ set as part of his debut Australian tour.
Biography:
At the end of the 90s, Rødhåd laid the groundwork for his DJ career. He organised small open-air parties in the outskirts of Berlin, and began DJing with vinyl. It was not long before his extraordinary skills behind the turntables made the rounds in the Berlin club scene.
In 2009, he launched his own regular club night: Dystopian. Soon after, around 2010, Berghain invited him to appear regularly as a resident at their events. From then on he has had gigs at clubs and festivals around the world, including Trouw in Amsterdam and the Rex Club in Paris.
After honing his production skills, he launched the record label Dystopian in 2012. With a handful of releases, it has already made a name for itself as one of the most respected techno labels.
Rødhåd's tracks have received praise from influential DJs such as Robert Hood, Jeff Mills, Marcel Dettmann, Ben Klock, Luke Slater, and Laurent Garnier to name a few. His most recent release, Spomeniks EP on Token (2013), was a major hit with audiences and reviewers alike.
Rødhåd always finds the perfect balance of timeless music to lift the dancefloor higher and higher. His style is deep and powerful - from dub to techno and back to house.
