About District Fifty
District Fifty is a collective of like-minded postive thinkers, from varied backgrounds, made up of DJs/Producers/Visual Artists, Media Heads & Marketing professionals. The name is inspired by the pincode of one of India's hippest suburbs, Bandra, where they are based. The goal of District Fifty is to create an International Record Label 'DFG' that serves as a platform for the most interesting and talented electronic musicians to display their art through productions and the District's label nights.

About the Artists
Kini Rao
In less than half a decade, Kini Rao has firmly stamped her name on India's blossoming underground house scene. Since her start as resident DJ at poison in Hyderabad way back when, Kini has gone on to play at every respected club in the country bringing her quirky brand of house & techno goodness to the new generation of Indian dance music aficionados.
She's opened for some of the biggest international DJs in the world and performed at the biggest outdoor festivals on the circuit such as Sunburn (2010 & 2012) & Go:Madras. Kini also remains one of the few Indian DJs who can lay claim to a growing international audience, having gigged at venues like the legendary Bar 25 in Berlin, the Villan's Club and Oakroom in Copenhagen and Public Life in London to name a few.
The only thing that remains constant is her quirky self, pulling off subtle genre bending crossovers with a trademark tongue in cheek attitude. An attitude that has seen her in the last couple of years apart from being a preferred artist on line ups of reputed musical venues like Blue Frog, Zenzi, Aurus, Q Bar, Out of the Box & TLR etc, also sharing the stage & musical ideas with top of the line artists such as dOP, D'Julz, Darren Emerson, Anil Chawla, James Harcourt, Tiger & Woods, The Mole, Khan of Finland Dale Anderson, & Jody Wisternoff etc

Technoholik
Abhishek Dixit has been a freelance artist supporting and promoting the underground and 4X4 culture of the music scene for the past four-and-a-half years. And in this time, he has associated with both national and international artists. His ear for music and signature mixing style combined with his talent, have gotten him various slots at some of the most premium clubs like Zenzi, Wink and Aurus in Mumbai, as well as clubs in Munich and Thailand.
Besides this, he has been a regular performer at club festivals like Café la Musica Fest, Goa and The Happy festival, Goa. One of his most talked about performances has been a seven-and-a-half hour set at the Café la Musica festival in Goa.
He has also been associated with IBar, Mumbai as a promoter, resident DJ and programmer for their Thursday nights. Currently, he is associated with Mumbai-based label District 50, with Kris Correya, Kini Rao and Space Jams and is on the verge of releasing an EP in the coming months.

Color Ray
Color Ray is the moniker of progressive and deep house producer and DJ Shrinivas Sundar aka Vas. With a background in music stretching back to the age of 15, Vas is a true artist with a propensity for songwriting and innovative production concepts.
Color Ray’s very first dance tune Cat in the Hat was released on Italian label Abstract Theory Recordings in December 2011 and lies in warm and passionate tones with a deep sound structure embedded in a very spacey and engaging approach.
In 2012, Color Ray stepped it yet again and proved to be capable of both quality and consistency by delivering a standout remix for Praveen Achary’s Morning and Morning on Dazzle On Records that was charted by Hernan Cattaneo himself on his Resident Podcast (ep 055). This track has also received countless plays from highly respected artists like Sound Process, Matteo Moreno, Sasha Le Monnier, and Vinayak^a. This release also went viral receiving over 100,000 plays on YouTube.
